How is GPA calculated?
GPA is calculated using the weighted average of your course grades:
GPA = Σ(Grade Points × Credits) / Σ Credits
Where:
• Grade Points = Value of letter grade (A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, etc.)
• Credits = Credit hours for each course
Example:
Course 1: A (4.0) × 3 credits = 12.0
Course 2: B (3.0) × 4 credits = 12.0
Course 3: C (2.0) × 3 credits = 6.0
Total Points = 30.0
Total Credits = 10
GPA = 30.0 / 10 = 3.0
