1. Overview
MJ ToolNest ("we", "us", "our") provides free online tools for PDF editing, file conversion, calculations, and similar utilities. This policy explains what data is and isn't collected when you use our website at mjtoolnest.com.
2. In-Browser Tool Processing
The files and data you upload or enter into our tools (PDFs, images, text, numbers) are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. These files are never uploaded to our servers, and we have no access to their contents. Once you close or refresh the page, this data is gone.
Some tools may use your browser's local storage to temporarily save your inputs (for example, to restore a form if you accidentally navigate away). This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. which tools are popular, how people navigate, and general usage patterns). These services may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location, and may set cookies or use similar tracking technologies to do so.

4. Advertising
We plan to display advertisements on this site through Google AdSense and/or similar ad networks. When active, these networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and may collect data such as your IP address and browsing activity for ad personalization and measurement.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. This policy will be updated with specific ad-network details once advertising is live on the site.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics (Section 3) and, in the future, advertising (Section 4). We do not currently use cookies for account management since no sign-up or login is required to use any tool on this site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; some site features such as analytics tracking will simply not function, with no effect on tool functionality.
6. Contact Form
If you reach out via our contact page, the information you submit (such as your name, email address, and message) is sent to our backend solely to deliver your message to us and to send you a reply. We do not currently store this information in a database — it is used only to relay the email. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
We will never sell, rent, or share your contact form submissions with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Server Logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information for security and infrastructure purposes, such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser user-agent strings. These logs are standard server operation data and are not used to personally identify visitors.
8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of data collected via analytics or advertising cookies. Since we don't maintain user accounts or stored personal databases for tool usage, most of these rights are best exercised by adjusting your cookie/ad preferences directly with Google, Microsoft, or your browser, as outlined in Sections 3 and 4. For contact form data, you may email us to request deletion of any associated correspondence.
9. Children's Privacy
MJ ToolNest is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
As we add new tools and features (including advertising), this policy will be updated to reflect those changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
